Within minutes, the distant roar of emergency helicopters and low-flying firefighting aircraft flying directly over the village confirmed that a serious emergency response was underway.

Thanks to the relentless work of ground brigades laboring through the night, emergency crews successfully brought the fire under control by 21:45, ultimately surrounding and containing the perimeter by noon the following day.
